I've been reading some of the past threads and someone wrote that you can substitue coffee filters in place of filter disks. Is this a good idea?

Think about it, all those coffee particles just slide on through, and contams are a fraction of that size.... They'll just pass on thru like it wasnt there.

You're better off just getting the filter discs. They can be pricey, but they'll last you a lifetime if you take good care of them, unlike a coffee filter. It's worth it.
