Pins won't grow
    #4549581 - 08/17/05 11:21 PM (19 years, 5 months ago)

AFOAF has 2 strait verm casings. They showed pins 5 days ago, But most grows take 2-5 days to fully fruit, and none of my pins are over an inch long. Also there is fuzzy myc at the bottom of the stems.
perameters: 90-95%humidity via hadmisting, 75-78 degrees, FAE 10-20 times a day, the strain is B+.
Anyone have any ideas?

I tried to post pics, but can't figure out how to resize them

If there is one thing I am finding out about this hobby, it is " all good things in all good time". Just when you think you have a problem it seems to take care of its self. My cakes have sat pinning over 5 days and then flushed really well. I too have fuzzy mycelium at the bottom of the stems. I think this is a sign that you have good humidity for cakes but mabe a little too high for a casing. Still a newbie though so mabe confirm with some of the old hands. Good luck

I just noticed pins yesterday and the cake spent like 10 days in PMP.

Well, technically a casing during pinning fruiting should be about 85-90% humidity.  But, to be honest, when i did my first casing it was at 97 % pretty much the whole time.  Took 4 days to see pins about 7 days for full fruits.  Just keep giving them FAE and make sure the caps arent turning black (rotting).  If you dont see them dying they still must be growing   GL, im sure it will pay off!
