Well it dumped rain all last night so i raced home from my buddy's house at about 7 am this morning. I was anxious to do a little scouting around.
I got home and found these growing in my yard. Location: Northwest Washington State Habitat: in 3-6 inches of grass Gills: Watery-Brown/Cinnamon-Brown, getting lighter at the edges Stem: Light Cinnamon brown, Anywhere from 1.5" - 5" long. Firm. Hollow. About half the width of a pencil. Cap: Diameter is 1/4 inch - 2 inches across. Convex to almost flat. Color Ranging from Cinnamon brown to a light tan, darkest at the middle and on ring on outer perimeter Spore print: still waiting on it, will post it in a few hours. Scent: Faint, earthly scent
I've never picked these type of mushrooms before so i'm a bit weary. I found them growing scattered in with bigger mushrooms which i also picked for the sake of only making one trip in front of my pesky neighbors I'd like some feedback please!
Here's the pics

Looks like subbs to me, a jet black spore print will confirm that.

Many of those are Panaeolus subbalteatus for sure, but some i'm not so sure about. Take all the shrooms out of the tub and organize em by appearance (and spore color if possible).

They do look like subbs definately. spore print will confirm. Good find, But you know, if I lived in your area especially at this time of year and the coming months, there are definately some goodies to be found. Much better than Pan subbs. Oh how I wish I lived in the Pacific northwest again. May just have to make a trip to ATL for the weilii since I'm a southern boy now.

Yeah avion, I feel priveleged to live in the beautiful pac nw and I can't wait for fall! Summer is creeeeeepiiinng by.
Thanks for the help guys. Glad to have some reassurance, as I've never picked pan subbs before. Here's the spore print from one of 'em. Came out nice and dark. Wish my camera would focus better though.

By the way, what kind of trip should I expect from these. Also, I found conflicting information on pan subbs dosage, so an experienced subb eater would be of much help. Thanks.

They aren't very strong. By the way, did they have any maggots? It seems like down here in the south it's hard to find em without bugs.

In my experience, subbs are only slightly less potent than cubes on average. the trip is better as well. potency does not indicate quality.
