Soaking poo, Agricultural Lime
    #4545310 - 08/17/05 03:48 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

Hi

I was gonna soak some freshish horse poo in order to leech it and remove most of the large wood chips mixed up in it as I was told these chips would float to the top, I was also told to add some calcium carbonate (the crushed lime powder I have) while socking... This sound good or does anybody have any suggestions, dying out the poo would be almost impossible as I live in a flat...

If you have fresh poo, just soaking it may not leech it completely. You don't need to add calcium carbonate or hydrated lime to the poo. Save that for the casing.
