14 hours is a bit short - for a WBS soak. 24 is far better & 36 doesnt hurt. Sure, you can wait until tomarrow. I would have the remaining WBS - soaking - during that time, if I were you.

humm, not to disagree with you but was the same amount of time that i did the last time and all 12 was done in 11 day with no contams,,,,but i will soak the rest till tomorrow since it is you who is saying that's not long enough.Out of curiosity why would you say that's not long enough is it because the bad spore have not spouted yet or is it something to do with the moister?

well in agar defence it does say 12 hours SOMETIMES works
(12 hours works sometimes, 24 hours works, so does 36 hours.
The point of this post is - time isn?t ALL that important.)
And after going over my notes i did soak for 18 hours last time
Anyhow i'm soaking them till 4:00pm tomorrow which will make a total of 30 hours so i should be ok

afoaf still does the same thing my friend... never gets contams. the WBS gets soaked for 24hrs, simmered for 20min, let drain for 6hrs, put into jar, tyvek then band with 3 1/4" holes stuffed with polyfill, shake at 30%, fully colonized on average at 8 or 9 days, have gotten down to 6 days though. afoaf always uses LC innoculant as well. incubates at a constant 84F, with a 65% rH.

GL to ya
