How has mushroom trips changed you?
    #4544081 - 08/16/05 11:21 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

How has the, specifically, powerful magic mushroom trips changed you're perception and perspective on life?

For me, its made me see we're all exactly the same. It has also made me feel very guilty on alot of aspects in life, and also alot of anger towards just about every government in the world.

Nobody supports me in my beliefs I have come by through ecstacy and magic mushroom use..... which makes me depressed alot of the time

I am sure my in depth brain has alot more truthful thoughts in it, than the run of the mill "sheep - people - who agree like nodding sheep with the society they live in to be accepted" mainly due to values the media tells us we should have

oh well, hope you understand what I mean!

Whats it done for yourselfe?

Like anyone else i abused shrooms in the beginning
Shrooms helped me realised that i needed to work things out in this real life like stepping up and being a smart man

We can go through life living in some pretty fucked up situations and never even realize how bad it is because we've gotten so used to it. A heavy enough dose of a psychedelic can give you a perspective on your life that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see because you're neck deep in all of it. The experience is often unpleasant, but sometimes what you need is more important than keeping your precious illusions intact.

Honestly, what most people call self-analysis is nothing more than a one-man circle jerk. Trying to look from the outside in while you're still inside. Want self-analysis? Remove the self.

The only pleasant time I've ever had on mushrooms was my first. Everything after that was a sober reality check that left me physically and emotionally unnerved. But in the end, I wouldn't call any of them bad trips. They've helped me see my own shortcomings and the need to get past them.

Welcome to the Shroomery!

Lots of people support your beliefs in psychedelics, me for instance.

Over time and future trips, you might realize that we are all one and those sleeping sheepies have a lot more in common with you than differences. The thing I learned from my experiences using committed doses is that Unconditional Love is the expression of energy we call life. Dark and light it is all the energy of Love. :yinyang:

God is dead, we all made up of atoms, dying ain't shit, war ain't shit, we are all organisms, dying and living. It's about survival of the fittest and always has been. Make your way to the top and rule this fucking world and piss on those that doubted you. <Thats' over 20 mushroom trips talking. I prolly tripped 14 times in less than 4 months when I first started.

Well.  9 months after going on a 3 month mushroom binge, I've went vegetarian, greatly improved my ability to emotionally express myself, come out of the closet (huge) and stopped being self destructive.  I'd say it's changed me for the better.

I'll also say that the period right after my mushroom binge was a  severe suicidal depression.

I tripped on 6 grams my first time (!). Stupid I know...

I had a hard time wanting to be a part of mundane society again. I still do to a degree, but not quite as much. That's the primary thing that trip changed in me. I also had a huge appreciation for all living things on this planet right after, which has persisted (beyond humans and animals, like plants and insects etc.)

I'd say that one profound trip changed me for the better, but it still to this day boggles my mind how it doesn't do that to everyone who trips. I guess that's where Tim Leary went wrong. Maybe if you have the right kind of mind to begin with, it'll change you for the better.

Mushrooms are extremely spiritual for me. To our feeble human senses, the inadequacies of life's perception become the inadequacies of life's reality. Mushrooms raise your senses and consciousness to a higher plane, and allows you greater understanding of the universe.

The eyes of the enlightened see us all as one.
