    #4543840 - 08/16/05 10:24 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Hello Shroomery!!!

I just got back from PetCo and I bought an Air Pump and the clear tubing.

I will be using this in my Fruiting Chamber...

DO you have any info on how to use this in my fruiting chamber...

In the Teks, there aren't any Humidification Teks on using an Air Pump..

Try the poor man's pod tek.
It involves putting the tubes under some lava rock. Check it out:

Good luck

I was just wondering if I could run the hose out of the Air Pump into a glass of water with either Hydrogen Peroxide or Bleach in it...

Could I do that. I also Plan on putting 2 inches of Perlite and 1 inch of water in the bottom of my Fruiting CHamber, along with some Hydrogen Peroxide.

If you are going to run your air hose into some water like in rk's pic, scrap the perlite soaking in that inch of water. you will have a better rh without it. soak the perlite then drain it off and then apply it to the bottom.
peace

Use a large jar of water like a gallon pickle jar.  Mix a little h2o2 or bleach into the mix for sterility purposes.

For some added heat, add a <40W small fish tank heater into the water and set it on a thermostat.

I get good humidity with this.  I leave paper towels on the floor of the terrarium so I dont have to soak up the water later. Works perfect, no need to mess with cool mists, no need to ever mist, no need for perlite, ever.  Just top off the water every once in a while (every few days) and you're good to go.  Quiet, cheap and very little maintenance.
