Why do we support our own oppression
    #4543615 - 08/16/05 09:22 PM (11 years, 3 months ago)

Not to sound too negative or anything but the world is mad fucked up. Sure Im happy when im not being WRONGED by our government and I dont have to deal with their fucked up shit. But when they come and interfere with my life, I just cant take it anymore. And i pay taxes to support the system that oppresses me.There are so many fucked up judges and the legal system is incredibly horrible in the united states. One person deciding the fate of years and years of peoples lives, even wether they exist or not. Its TOO FUCKED UP. The government has way too much control over the people. Why are we paying cops to write us tickets? Why are we paying for a corrupt and unjust legal system to lock us up, steal our lives?
The government reminds me of a slow bully. They steal your energy and then jail you.
Then it gets so big and hard to fight it is impossible for any commoner to fight it. Any attempts to organize against it, change it are opressed.

Anyone else sick of supporting a system you totally disagree with?

I feel the same as you, but... I don't think there's anything we can do about it. The people who want to be bullied far outnumber those who don't.  :mad2:

I know it cant be beat, unless the world takes it on, which I dont think theyre going to. I just want to get away from it and hopefully it will only destroy its self and not the rest of this beautiful planet

it's cuz the majority of the people in this country are gullible dumb fucks and a large percentage of the rest just don't give a fuck. I guess you could argue that they are dumb fucks too. Yep, to many dumb fucks.

Very good post, your not the only one who feels this way. There are MANY of us who are fed up. Now if there was only a non-violent way to send our govt a FORCEFULL message that we are done with their bullshit lies. But we seem so divided that no one will even come together long enough to fix things for the betterment of all. Needs to be something to unite us against the govt. But it has to be non-violent or all who participate will end up dead. If we end up dead anyway at least the people who are left will have their boston massicare to wake them up.

The general population is truly disgusted by the way the country is run. Both parties who are always in power, fundamentally similiar, only cater to large corporate companies, ignore the majority's true concerns, etc. They just don't know how to go about doing anything about it or don't have the time for activism, or don't feel activism wouldn't do anything. Which it doesn't, mostly.

In other words, all you can do is emigrate.

So....

Everyone post how they were oppressed in the past week, save the drugs part.

I saw a lot of people riding their bikes, running, children playing, people eating ice-cream, old ladies sitting on porches, picnics, and barbeques.

No oppression for me this week, but it is bound to happen next week for sure.

Last weekend I was forced to prowl the Atlantic City Boardwalk while my hegemonic wife played slots. Bitch actually won too. What misery.

Watch out for the beaches around Atlantic City. Dirty syringes all over the sand.

Not exactly "oppression" ColdNewWorld described, but many would probably agree everything is nearly fineable or worthy of a tax.

i may have been one of the people u saw riding a bike.
did u see the smog i was breathing? taste it?
did u know i was on my way to a minimum wage job? and i actually cant even afford to pay for rent and food witout aid from my parents still?
aside from oppression, how about compression?
i live underneath 2 people, and with 3 other people in rooms all around me.

am i being oppressed by the people around me constantly reproducing? making more people who can take away the well paying jobs from me and the kids i may have someday?

let me direct you all to a recent post of mine.
