Fruiting Chamber Quick Question......

I have a quick easy question i'm sure that all your guros can answer in a jiffy. I am making a basic rubbermaid fruiting chamber for 4-5 cakes.
I'm just confused on one part....


From what i gather, all i need is a large rubbermaid container.
Then i am too cut a hole out in the lid and cover the hold with plexi-glass to allow the shrooms to know the source of light.

Now here is where i am a little confused....
Do i place some water in the bottom of the container....then perlite above it or is it the opposite way around? Or i am just wrong in general?

wet your perlite then strain it.

Add perlite across the bottom of the empty container, then add water, then set your project on the perlite. If its a cake then set on lid or ring from the jar, if in container of its own just sit it on the perlite. I dont know the exact measurements for the perlite and water, I just make sure the water is half the height of the perlite.
