From what I've read, peruvian torch generally contains a little more mescaline than san pedro, but the amounts are similar. Trichocereus bridgesii is a strong species as well....

I've heard that Peruvian torch is a little bit more cold tolerant as well. The only thing I don't like about them is the spines are a lot bigger. Ouch!

Yeah, it's called the Shroomery.
Check the Cacti 101 sticky thread at the top of this forum.

i have a definitive personal ratings scale for how terrible substances taste ... with 0 being no taste problems, and 10 being impossible to bear ...

shrooms are a 3 or 4, unpleasant but easy to do and be done with ... not a terrible aftertaste, etc ...

well cooked pedro/torch was about an 8, vile but bearable with the right mindset in mind ...

ayahuasca tipped the scale at 9.5, being the most terrible, godawful, horrible mixture i've ever had in my life ... ever! nothing is that bad, not even chewing a full bitter pill of e up in your mouth till it's only powder ... THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD

both mescaline and ayahuasca are similar, though, in that you will almost certainly throw up ... in fact, both mescaline and ayahuasca trips don't start for me until i officially purge ...

well, i suppose if i covered the raw cactus in salad dressing or hot sauce it wont relly taste so bad. I would turn it into a drink, but i live with my parents so can't really let the know what i'm up to.

You can try to cover the taste, but I don't think that you will be very successfull. I wish you luck. I do remember reading some cactus recipes somewhere, though.
