Definitely not liberty caps. Looks like conocybe lactea to me.

Yes, those are Conocybe lactea a.k.a. white dunce caps. Quite common in lawns at this time of year. Inactive. They actually contain phallotoxins in small quantities. C. lactea is the first fungus outside of the genus Amanita in which phallotoxins have been detected.
