It's strange, but I'm starting to feel like I'm being left behind. Basically my boyfriend is moving to Spain, and clearly I'm not part of this plan. He put through his application to renew his European passport yesterday, and is already planning on how to move all his stuff there. He talks about how great his life will be once he leaves Canada. My best guy friend is moving to Scotland at the end of the month and explained to me last night that he won't be coming back. Which basically leaves me here. By myself. I want to go with them, I don't want to be stuck here in this stupid city to rot, by myself, but thats just not in their plans and I can't really expect it to be. I'll just be here, like always, doing the same thing, being responsible, working and going to school and watching everyone else live their fantasitic lives. I'll be here, if they ever come back, just like everyone expects me to be.

of course you'll go thru heartache, but detaching is never easy.
they may not be there so much anymore in person,
but there is always a phone, or a myspace, or a rountrip ticket to another country for a brief vacation from your
life of responsibility.
hell, my bestfriend lives across the country, over a border, & ive only met her once.

Maybe it's time to make big plans for yourself. Don't worry about whats happening now. Keep working, finish school, then do whatever the fuck you want to do in life. Don't wait for other people to make plans for you/include you. Make your own plans. Do your own thing. Be satisfied with it.

That sounds like something I would say. It's alright, D.... it's not the ending! It's a new begining. Cheesy, sure...but you know it's true just as much as I do. Paul's not going away forever. Maybe for awhile, but not forever. You think his mom would let him slip away that easily?!?! Ah, NO.
And he promised to play my wedding next summer. HE PROMISED!

Hmmmmm, I've gathered from your posts that you don't like where you live very much....why don't you pull stakes and drift to greener pastures? Life is too short to waste living alone in an area that doesn't fit you. Keep your head up, and keep the faith....listen to your heart and someday you'll find yourself where you belong, with the people you belong with.

As for me, I'm looking at this thread, and it appears I am much more left behind than Gillette or most people here, and I have found much comfort in my life considering the fact. So if I can do it, Gillette and everyone else can do it.
