Does anyone believe in Jesus?

If so how did you come to believe and why?

i believe in jesus. after studying and practising buddhism and other spiritual teachings for a while i began to notice similarities to what jesus taught and what buddha was saying. i then went and read the gospels myself and there was immediate understanding of many of jesus's saying, he was cleary alluding to the same path as buddha and the rest. because of my own prior spiritual experience i was able to interpret many of his sayings on my own and i saw the great wisdom and the beauty with which it was expressed. a bit later on i had an experience with the help of marijuana and meditation where i had flashes of what i call "christ conciousness" (which is equivalent to buddha nature i guess). intuitively i instantly knew that this was the state of conciousness in which jesus christ walked the earth and i also knew that jesus was a guenuine spiritual teacher. this state of conciousness was like seeing the world through God's eyes, completely blissful and filled with unconditional love as the world is not perceived as being apart from yourself. you see the unity behind the diversity. anyway it was not long after that that i came accross a website dedicated to helping people attain christ conciousness which can be found here http://www.askrealjesus.com/. it represents a challenge to modern christians claiming that jesus was an example to follow and not and idol to worshipped and contains over 2000 pages of teachings designed to help you raise your conciousness. i realize some people here may find it new agey as i would most likely would have if not for my personal experinece of christ conciousness which burned away all my doubts. i'm also very famaliar with the teachings of ramana maharshi and he provides some tremendous insight into the meanings behind some of jesus's quotes.

Im no christian, but whether Jesus is the son of god or a guy who ate psychedelic mana I love him. I love him because he loves everyone. If everyone valued love above everything else the world would bomb diggity. The Beatles knew that shit was all we need.

i've not read the book considering the site is free and contains over 2000 pages with many teachings im still absorbing. however i've liked the site so much so far that i will probably end up ordering one or more of the books at some point. i think the site is amazing because it represents a spiritual teaching as complete as buddhism only from a christian perspective. it shows the true power of christianity and not the distorted, fragmented version of christianity currently being proffessed by the church.

yeah, it's presenting jesus in the way i've always seen him, which i really like. i don't like institutional christianity because i feel it doesn't represent what christ was all about. this site has a lot of similarities with gnosticism (as i understand it). I'm going to bookmark it and have a good read. hehe i'm also going to recommend it to the members of our student christian group who are frequently recruiting on campus. Spread the love!

I remember wondering if all people are destined to take a place, in Jesus' head. sounds weird.. but I know I've experienced "christ-consiousness" even to slight degrees, but probably more than most people think about. I just was thinking... thinking is useless, action is useful. Thinking is useful, for without it, action would be ignorant.

ah.. do you think that everytime someone says "JEsus CHRIST!" because they're frightened or pissed, that somewhere in the universe, the "real" Jesus hears it and says "Their taking my name in vain again! DAMN THEM TO HELL... no wait. I forgive them."

hhaah haha.....

Good link though... does anyone know about Drunvalo Melchizadek?

he is a man who teaches the Merkaba meditation,
He's well into christed consiousness, I think he's got a page still at www.drunvalo.net ... yes he does I just checked. He teaches about the Tree of Life, Seed of life, Flower of life, etc.... He also talks about some amazing things going on that no one else really seems to talk about. In example, he posted years ago that the people of earth have been recieving light information from the sun that is advancing our DNA... there are children who are being born completely immune to the AIDS virus, and all diseases. There are kids in Asia who are "super-psychic" - who can see what a chosen card is, name it correctly, from another room down the hall... He talks about the Indigo children who are born in this day and age with exceptional talents and incredible insight to life. These are just a few things. Just thought it may spark some interest among the community. ; )

Certainly, he runs the best damn gardening service in these parts... hard worker, good family man and we've imbided a few Tecates together on occasion.

I don't know myself. I sometimes feel that those who follow Jesus and use it as an excuse to judge others as if they are God and have all the answers merely thereby judge themselves and therefore I find Christianity to be a sort of cosmicly sick joke.

We all judge others on some level. This is just another level. At some point one can decide that we are all in this crap together. Work on your own shit, and not worry about what others are doing and saying and judging. Or not.
