Oyster Mushrooms. Seriously now, I feel that all PC's are equally potent. The things that people tend to notice is the difference in trips that they give you.

Whatever you're growing now. Chances are they're the least potent, that is, if they even fruit.

Colombians seem to be on the lower scale in my books. I may grow them again just for the hell of it though.

Some of you guys are harsh... I'm with phrozendata in that all cubies pretty much have the same potency. Although I do find B+ to be unique for a cubie trip. If you want to go farther than that you could look into Panaeolus subbalteatus I hear they have a weak potency. I read some report from Germany about psilo content in shrooms, they had a coupula samples marked Psi. tampanensis shrooms that were considerably weaker than some of thier cubie samples (thier cubie samples varied among .1% to almost 2% goodie content) Pan cyans were the best at almost 4% if I remember correctly...I wonder what % mexicana has... If you just want some weak ass shrooms then just take some good ones and throw em in the oven at 450 F for an hour, thats drug abuse right there...

I strongly disagree that 'shrooms grown on straw are weak. In fact, I have found that 'shrooms raised on straw to be among some of the strongest that I have ever had. I'm starting to conclude that 'shrooms grown in cased trays are not nearly as strong.

I have had very high level trips off shrooms grown from brf. Perhaps there's better, but I have no complaints. I also happen to have LOTS around. (Brf that is)

Perhaps you have gotten lucky...Straw is superb for quantity, but quality? Grains have high nutrition and lower yields..punch for punch BRF and rye grains grow some of the strongest shrooms..

If straw is supposed to have lower nutrition then why would you get a higher yield? I havent been able to tell the difference yet but then the straw was mixed with dung. But I still dont think straw has a lower potentcy.

Straw is more nutritious than say BRF - but its has lower tryptamine levels than compost, birdseed and dung - ill find a link for you...

I think that BRF is more nutritous than straw, I don't know how that has to do with potency though. Sunflower seeds and flax seeds have trypimines (chemicals that the shrooms use to make psilocybin) in high concentration for any grain. I think flax seed meal helps with the potency.... just my opinion though...

exactly what im saying - whether brf or straw are more nutritious - its the tryptamine content of the substrate that counts...
