today i went salmon fishing up in this sweet spot in the mountains. there was alot of clear cut there so i told my buddy to keep his eyes open for mushrooms on our walk.so after seeing hundreds of various mushrooms i came across my first patch of pelliculosas!!!! i didnt find much but ive never found them in my life and i now know what kind of habitat to search!!! cool eh.

Ya, they usually grow in disturbed areas, along roads and clearcuts. Pretty mushroom but you have to eat quite a few to get high.

haha unfortunatly captain im one of those mushroom hunters who is to poor to have a digi cam!!! i agree they are quite pretty growing in such a cool habitat of moss!! i loved it. i cant wait to head back up with out the fishing rods and search for a whole day. its such a cool place to be.much different then being in a cow field or searching mulch beds.theres no one around,just pure BC beautiness!
oh ya,i find it pretty funny how out of place i am in the shroomery these days. over a hundred thread views and only one reply!!! i guess only cyans are cool these days or something.

Nah, if you like shroomin than your in the right place friend :) I know what you mean though, I've posted about what I considered amazing discoveries and only had a few replies yet 200-300 views. Its because we're so damn goood people are sick of our finds :)
Anyways, sounds like a great find!! Especially in such a beautiful secluded area. I have similar picking grounds out towards the mountains here in GA, when I visit I don't care if I find a single weilii or not, I just love being there, and of course I bring the fishing rod for when the picking is slow :)

haha i guess so lizard!!! i want to go back soon,its rtaining like a motherfucker now.i hope it doesnt snow up there!!! so what kinda fish do you catch,are you one of those yankee bass catchers!!?? i love bass.

I'm a trout guy myself, but I fish for just about anything. I love getting out the fly pole and tying a few flys(I tie my own) to take out to the river. I usually only catch rainbows and browns, but there is the occasional brookie(brook trout)
As far as my yankee fishing abilities go, I'm a walleye man! I love walleye fishing, and northern pike too. Nothing better than pulling an 8 pound walleye through the ice, thats yankee fishing :)

Damn crazy fisherman. There are shitloads of people snagging fish coming up the river up in bham, its right by a cyan spot so i always stop and ponder those guys out fishing. Psylo have you ever run into any black bears up there in the mtns?? I would be kinda scared of fishing up there, those beast animals could slay you at any time. Cougars have been hunting people down these days too, highly dubious, you need to carry a gun over a fishing pole.
Oh yea and nice find on the pelli's ehhh.

definetly a nice find ehhh!! hahaha
i was looking out for bears and cougars.with all these spawning salmon its a good chance i might run into some bears or cougars. but id risk it again for a chance to pick more peli ' s!! and a fresh koho's always nice too!
liz your a walleye man!!!! you bastard. i like the sunfish family.i catch lots of large mouth bass and crappie.sometimes we take a trip for yellow belly perch.and small mouth and pumpkin seeds are over on the island. but i havent got a fuckin walley yet. this summer i was in calgary( i WAS gonna visit that fucker thor but he never answers the damb phone.... ;) haha and i worked shit loads) and my whole goal was to go walleye fishing. but i never did.but one place i was at,i camped there for about a month, had a killer trout hole.my biggest rainbow was over 4 pounds! pretty nice to me.and there was browns and i got one brookie. ahh i was just thinking........this winter i get to catch the king of all trout.....STEALHEAD!!!!! my buddies a crazy fishermen so he's gonna take me.ive never got one but its the prize around these parts.its rough harcore fishing ,but i cant wait for that shit!!

hey psylo i had one good semi day this year, the next day i went back to pick some more and get some pictures but after 10 minutes the farmer started shooting at me. Its a good field that i have been to many times, really sucks when you start getting shot at. Fucking farmers
