Mycelium on pins
    #4541315 - 08/16/05 06:26 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

Hi there, Ive got a terranium set up with a colonised substrate inside. All has been well so far and pinning has occurred pretty quickly. However, the heads of the pins have a small amount of mycelium growing on them. Im unsure whether this is an ocurrence with the pink buffalo strain or if humidity it too low or alternatively there is not enough air exchange (even though a fish tank bubbler has been implemented in order to help with both)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty normal. As they grow, the myc. on the caps should get less and less. BTW, what set-up are you using?

Normal at that stage for many strains of cubies. BTW at later stages myc on caps means RH is too high. GL and welcome

HELP!!!
my pins are looking very weird and growing slow, heavy Myc growth and what appears to be peeling and greenish blueish bruising, i dont know wats going on i think it might be a humidity problem.. its my first attempt and all seemed well till this, and its only 2 cakes exhibiting these symptoms. the rest seem fine i will attach some pics..
any help would be greatly appreciated for i fear it could be a contam and dont want my other babies getting infected..
Thanx strain is pf classic (apparently)
