Alright, here are 6 of my jars. They are all pretty close but I am getting anxious. I'm wondering how much longer I need to wait till I dunk these bad boys. Let me know.

Once the exterior surface of the cake is colonized, allow them 2-3 more days to get good and colonized in the core of the cake. It's just a good thing to do after a long wait. You don't want the cake to blow up in your face with mold after all the excitement you've put yourself through...........

GOOD ADVICE ABOVE.^^^^
Also, If that temp gauge in the pic is wired to the inside of your incubator, you may consider raising the temps a few degrees if possible.
It will speed up colonization times if you have the temps at the optimal 83-85 degrees.
Looking good!

hi...bob
I have a little trick that helps the Tall 1/2 pints colonize faster... when they are looking like your jars with a little left to go still on the bottom.
flip the jar over and slap the lid against your hand hard. this will dislodge the cake from the jar making it loose inside.
put the jar back inside the incubator...upside down sitting on the lid. it should finnish in 3 or 4 days.

yes absolutely, DO NOT dunk untill at least 100% of the exterior is colonized. the extra 3-4 days helps, too. my friend has three jars she is waiting and waiting for, the patience is a true virtue, because due to effects of lower temps, and CO2 buildup, the jar's growth can be slowed at this point. heat up the incubator to 84F and make sure they get some kind of oxygen. those are looking good and, like was said above, you would hate it if those good looking cakes got ruined, I'd hate it!

Cool, thanks for all the help. Roadkill, I'm going to give that a try. I've got them in a rubbermaid box with a blanket over them and I have a light on them to try and warm them up a bit. Next time I think i'll try and put together an incubator with a water heater.
