So what IS the deal with these wild mushrooms?  I've heard they're poisonous, I've heard they're "good" but only if dried properly.  I got some that grow right by my house, and they're slowly starting to come in.  I think we just need some good rain.  :wink:

they can kill you if you eat too much, if you take a sub-toxic dose you can get high...research them some more before you chuck them in your mouth

Absolutely!  I plan on doing quite a bit of research.  But most of it so far tells me two different things.  Although I do know that it is very potent and you probly would only need 1 avg. sized shroom to get off.  But I'm still not sure. :frown:

A lot of people each year who try them think they're bad enough to take themselves to an emergency room, a place where pleasant things do not happen. That should give you a pretty good idea how much fun they are. The vast majority of people who try them find them extremely unpleasant.

I have never ben made ill at all by fresh or dried A. Pantherina. Ibotentic acid is a truely amazing drug, I trip on it as much as I can find A pantherina. A. muscia can cause very significant nausia, particulaly the yellow formosa varity.

Combined with marijuanna it is a very potent halucinogen.

By the way, both A. muscaria and pantherina are VERY potent. You will need at most half a cap of an average size mushroom. The drug can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to kick in.
