Thanks man! Yeah it's an art, my first couple plates only grew one and the others stayed empty surprisingly with some old old premade a friend gave me. Will definitely give pasty plates a shot next time I make some, my SAB is really tall so I think a platform will help as far as contamination and that's a good idea, I was considering curtains for the arm holes, seems like it works. I mean as far as dirty Dan with the burner, you gotta think they grow in nature and just do what can be done within your power, or he does work behind the scenes to make his results look better. Thanks for the advice! I'm soaking everything up like a sponge!

Tbh thinking of a flow cabinet, it's a pretty penny but really reduces contam rates to a decimal percentage, went in guns blazing, face mask, alcohol gloves, AC turned off, flame sterilized, had some growth but several days later it turned green and so did I.

Probably due to the vaccuming of the room before being wrapped in seran (fucking roommates)

Ooph I feel that, try reducing temps if you can, the mycelium generates heat so my ambient is about 65-66 and the tub is 69-72 inside, heat makes hollow stems, bigger mushrooms, but they're hollow and weigh the same as a smaller not hollow dense fruits. Good luck, being stringy doesn't worsen your chances directly, just more time spent trying to flick the string off knife, giving a wider window for anything else to get in there.
