carnival

Somebody has asked about the carnival theme arising in entheogen experiences.

I note the patterns on summer carny rides seems so like tbetan and mayan design motifs with cloud/fire/dragon/leaf designs repeated.

The colors are often fleshy with contrasts, with yellow red and green.
And progressions of lights are very carnival especially when surrounded by halos and stacked.

Phlangeing musical sounds and smeared clown faces.

These things are all easily mapped into the frame stacking theory, such as when a glance is sustained while others collect during the slight turning of the head, and then several copies of a small light source becomes a line of yellow dots with red halos and backgrounds infill.

Our skin gets copied as background and any arc repeated can become the scallop of a merry-go-round?

I understood Picasso on one trip as my friend's head was upright, but one eye was four inches below the other at an angle. Scary and funny.

I have to say, I've always felt there was something 'fundamentally' missing from cubism...

I dunno...
