That would be bad practice...
TiT was never mentioned - we are discussing the fruiting chamber...?! Obviously here is no reason at all to raise humidity in the incubating chamber. I was criticising you before for suggesting to steal any equipment. THAT is bad practice..... and bad karma.

Unless you put 1 drop in there.
Have you done this? Because I have..
What are you dribbling about? When was bleach mentioned in this post?? A glass with water/H2O2/airstone works well, as does a layer of geo-lit balls/water/H2O2 in the bottom of the fruiting chamber; but this also frees up space as you have no glass sitting anywhere in the tub.

And it worked just as well as a humidifier, becasue I also have one of
those and have used it.
there is always more than one way to skin a cat.

Cheapest way of doing it (and I think it was mentioned): cheapo 5-gallon air pump, air hose run through into a large pickle jar... air stone inside. Perfect humidity - and yes, you want to add h2o2 into the water mix.
If you need extra heat, just put in a 5 gallon (<40W) fish tank heater with thermostat. Be extra careful here because it does cause the water to evaporate at a faster pace. If you're not careful the water line may evaporate past the heating element. The problem here is you have to cool down the heater before putting in more water. Otherwise (and this has happened to me numerous time) you add more water and CRACK... the heater glass cracks creating a dangerous situation.
So with the heating element, be careful. But even that is easy. if you aren't as stupid as I am. Just remember to top off the water in the jar every so often and mix with h2o2, even though it isn't stagnant, sitting water.

oh yeah, my whole point for this post was that the supplies required for this cost under $15 if you go to your local thrift store.
