Hunting in Seattle
    #453509 -

Hi Ho, I'm a first time hunter in the Seattle area. My wife and I were thinking about heading over to Discovery Park with our new Wild Mushroom Guide to hunt for stunzi.

Does anyone in the Seattle are know anything about Discovery? Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? Are we likely to get "hassled by the man" for hunting there?

If Discovery is too hot, or too picked over, we might go to Carcreek or Golden Gardens. Anybody got any ideas?

On second thought, and after checking out some other posts/pics, we'll probably be looking for cyans.

Well, I found some stunzii in discovery park a few weeks ago and I read that another diligent shroomer found some cyans there also not too long ago, so there must be some decent places there. I only looked around a little bit, found the stunzii in woodchips on the edge of a playground and took off. Also saw some good looking mulch around, but nothing of interest growing in it. I'm gonna be out hunting all day tomorrow too :). I reallly doubt you'll have trouble with the cops for hunting mushrooms.

Good Luck!!

DH
