return of the mutants?
    #4534703 - 08/14/05 07:19 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

ok. about 4 months ago i had a set of golden teacher pf cakes that went super mutant on me as you can see:
now im afraid they might be back:
this a casing with wild bird seed, hawaian strain, 50/50 etc. the veils are already breaking, the caps are tiny, most of the pins aborted also.. thats probably a different problem. but do those look normal to anyone? those 2 pictures are obviously drastically different looking, but that batch of gt's did have some similar looking issues in comparison to these hawaians. i feel like the fruits should be bigger than that, and im pretty sure theyre actually reaching full maturity in that picture. pins appeared in this casing atleast 5 days ago. im not sure what my problem is.. i did clean my fc's out with a little clorox spray but i washed them really well i thought, could this be the problem? any help is appriciated, i have 3 more casings identical to that one that look like theyre about to do the same bs.

i had a pretty mutant trip from the above baseball looking shroom. my theory was that since that was the only fruit growing on that cake a super amount of psilocybin got pumpep into it? or maybe it was just me thinking it was going to fuck me up so it did.. who knows. the casings just in a chamber with perlite, there is some beads of moisture running down the sides, and the myc is a little fluffy looking too i guess, but does high rh really cause muatants?

I think it causes "fat-asses" kinda looks like what u have in the second pic.

and If your mind made the trip mutant, thn it WAS mutant. i think the way your mind acts on th drug is just as important as the way the drug acts on you. blah-blah im really HIGH^

Correct, rh does not cause mutants. Lack of co2 exchange can..contams can..lysol spray can..petroleum based products..and poor substrain.

They certainly are not normal fruit bodies, and so yes, would be "mutants"

It almost looks like you have cobweb mold growing. Could you get some zoomed in shots of it so we can tell for sure? You have a light on top of the mushrooms, and are fanning them correct? Hmmm... Moiture buildup could do that too I suppose.

hmm. i definitely use tap water, but i think its relatively good tap water where i live. but it would make sense that 2/3 batches for me here where i am have been all fucked up since ive used the same water every time. and come to think of it, the one that did work out was my first try which i used all bottled water for.. its pretty rough to have made it this far without a hitch and then have them be these tiny little guys, but ill keep trying. i dont think theres cobweb in there, as there as shrooms growing from the same areas pretty much, but i wondered about that early on myself. i have a batch of pf cakes that are pinning now that i made at the same time, well see how those turn out. ahhhhhh!
