I don't know about any raver name or dcraves list. She was briefly on that expose that Fox did on the DC rave scene that fucked everything up, though.

Hah I had a friend that was on that as well. She was the blonde chick in the scene where they were in the bathroom. They had her all fucked up talking about how awesome E was. Her parents saw her on that. ahhahahaha

i duno, im not big fan of the rave scene, its too junkie-ish for me, then again i dont like large groups of people
i like just chillin with about 3 friends and doin whatever i may have, sadly my cool friends won't do drugs with me, so im at a stand still or i have to do drugs with loser stoners or people who arent that interesting (to me) to be around, mindless people most the time, their funny as hell, but i like to have a good conversation when im messed up
but i also dont use drugs for soley recreation, i really try to open up my mind so..

I know what you mean about the rave scene, but I still like it. I forgot how nice it is to interact with other rollers at a rave. We were talking to some of the few people at the party last night who had actually brought pills for themselves. One of them was a hot chick from Russia who was just radiating intense energy. She was totally chilled out, but our legs were touching and I could feel these strong good vibes coming from her body into mine. I forgot how nice things like that are.
Last night was supposed to be my first time doing E in over 3 years! Oh well.

i prefer small getherings of friends when i take E, though raves are pretty fun for the sheer novelty of the whole thing.
camping E trips are key, imo

Wow.
I never had you pegged as the type of person who just combs parties for drugs.
It's a despicable thing to do. In fact, people like you are the reason I stopped going to raves. I know you don't listen to the music or care about the deejay's skill, so you were simply there to cop. Ugh. is right.
I sometimes crave lsd or other hippy type drugs, but have always refused to go to a jam band show just to cop because it shows disrespect for the scene. That's something I understand from people doing it to my scene. I think it's AWESOME that there was a rave without E. I wish EVERY part was like that; it would seperate the people who love the music from the people who love the drugs, and it would be fun for us music lovers again.

yeah i always have my dr00gs before going to anything, but i must say, just because you may not fit into a scene, does that mean you dont belong there?
im not sure i fit into any "scene" yet i love to go and see what the hell everyone my age is doing with music and find what their reasons to get people together.

ya know when i was just a wee little punk rocker (must've been around 15 or 16 at the time) i got dragged to the first phish show i ever saw by my older cousins and i only went b/c i thought i could find drugs well i did find drugs, and it was the first time i ever candy-flipped but that experience opened my eyes to types of music i never would've listened to otherwise and i've gotten into many awesome bands that i like b/c of this first show. don't get me wrong; i'm not saying it's always good for people to go to shows just to cop, but it's not always bad, either

When your clearly stated mission is to get drugs, no, I do not feel that you belong at a rave. I hated seeing invaders who didn't know the first thing about any of the deejay's, or even the music, but guessed that there would be drugs. IMO, it's disrespectful to the people who want to enjoy the music without having to deal with junkies interloping on their once-beautiful scene just to get high.

Point taken. However, I think this type of thing is a rather isolated incident. I think most people who go to raves to get drugs only return to get more drugs, not because their eyes have been opened to a new type of music.

territorial!
but i can see what you mean. i go to some places where there is a scene, and you can tell the scenesters from the interlopers every time, and there is usually some tension... wether its due to the drugs, the music or just the overall attitutde of the seperatists.
teh only time i felt like something else was taking over was when i went to a recent death cab for cutie show.
i had been listening to this band for years, and there last album went huge and there were all these teenage boppy girls there to see them wanting them to play there latest single...
i hated it, but i still love DCFC as they played maybe three songs from there new album and a whole hour of everything i had acheived catharsis with.
its not really like the drug situation, but i see where youre coming form... those peopel arent there for the music and the connection, they are there for a cheap moment of satisfaction theyll be bragging to all the girlfriends about for months to come, though not understanding the true genius of what heppened. they were all probably pissed that they didnt know any of the songs, and THTA is my satisfaction of seeing them there, if at all.
