Generally the vegitative, colonization stage, needs to be kept on higher temps, whereas after pinset, the temperatures should be lowered.

I dont understand what you mean by wick? Whats a wick? How doest he machine work?

Yeah im not sure what your strategy was to get pins. Im no expert but you should keep the temp to what ever you colonized your subsrate at after you case. Keep the temp the same until you see mycelium poking throught the surface of your casing...At this point patch with some more casing OR gently scrach the suface of the casing to mix colonized areas of the casing with the uncolonized areas...Once you have done one of those 2 steps then you should drop the temp by appx 8 degrees / turn light on 12-16 hours a day/lower CO2 with air exchanges and dont forget to lightly mist once a day.... Like i said im no expert but im sure ive read that shit somwhere.

i bought the same kind. its not evaporative or something. cant think of the right word. i still use it. gets the job done. use a ultrasonic for the humidity and that wick humidifier to move it around and keep it fairly humid while the ultrasonic is off.

As my pupils fluttered and tried to fly out of my skull I asked myself, "Is THIS what you want?".
Screaming until my lungs bled, I simply replied "No!"

don't do that, if the myc is aggressive (growing rapidly) then lightly patch it and set it to fruit. do not scratch it, that will disrupt the myc and set you back a little bit til the myc could recover.
you should have a 10 degree drop in temp when you go to fruit. from the 82-85 range(veg growth) to 72-75 range for fruiting.
12 hours of light per day is plenty.
definitely mist and give lots and lots of fresh air exchanges. 1-3 per hour if you can.
peace

Here is a picture of how i exchange clean air. On the top of my closet i have a Plastic tote. Inside i mounted a 300cfm blower(wayoversized) ....The lid is cut out and i stacked 2 Merv12 furnace filters on top. I then seal all the opening to the box including the outlet for the power cord.To transfer air from my homemade air purifier i piped it in with the flex plastic duct. All of this ensures 99% clean air coming in. And to be extra careful i mist the filter once a day with 70% alcohol.
Also ...For humidity i have a 2.5 gallon cool moisture humidifier with built in humidity Gage(It maintains humidity at exactly 85%)I have that unit directly inside the growing chamber. This also help to eliminate contamination.
Check out the pic.
