So not Cobweb then.  I have never had Cobweb so I'm not sure if those little grey bits are Cobweb or not.

I am by no means the final word on this issue, but with cobweb the main idicator is FAST growth... mych does not spread anywhere near as fast as cobweb.

This is what I can share with you from my limited experience:

Mych is thick and bright white. Healthy mych has a snowflake or crystal-like appearance.

Cobweb is greyish and very thin(wispy). And it spreads FAST! If you want to test for cobweb spray some H2o2 on it. If it dissolves right away it is suspect to be cobweb mold...

Also from what I understand and have dealt with, cobweb is not that bad. An h2o2 spray/bath will take care of or at least curb the problem.

You may just have a RH that is a bit to high for optimal growth. However, just to be safe, I would suggest you seek a second opinion.

I second that, it looks like healthy mycelium, id say its ready to be birthed before overlay happens

Why is it that most of the mycelium is grey and other parts are bright white?

Because they arent as strong is the whiter parts.
If it was cobweb, it would have covered more than half that casing by now.

Looks like its just growing in to me. Won't be that white until it gets a thicker consistency.
