The picture is great, especially with the light from the flash coming back at you, very cool. As for the shroom stone, from what I see it just looks like a old cowpie, mabey if I could examine it closely like you can I might see something different. I think its great thought that you can find something interesting out of something that other people see as ordinary. Kudos.

some people do have a naturall ability to see things of intrest
in things that the normall rat race person cant see

Both very cool. I like your friend's picture alot, good use of colors, they aren't overwhelming (overwhelmining is good sometimes, but it get's old after a while.). Great ballance, too. What is the shroom stone? Looks kinda like a slice of petrified wood. Also kinda neat. Reminds me of tripping in the petrified forest (stopped by there on the way to the Grand Canyon once). I'm alway's amazed at the little things that catch my attention when I'm out communing with nature. From sparkly rocks to mushrooms (of any type, they all look cool) to patterns made by the sun as it's filtered through the trees.
