Can you guys teach me some mushroom terminology? I don't
even know how to pronounce half the shit you guys type
when you're talking about strains and whatnot. I'm
interested in knowing the different types of shrooms and
what they're called. Kinda like how with weed there's
shwag, midis, nuggets, hydro ect ect. Think you guys can
teach me some shit so I don't look so uneducated when I
talk to my peers.

Aren't you the same 16 year old kid thats trying to grow in your parents house? LOL haha I guess you are really new to this shit...
Terms for growing*:
Tek - A guide
Substrate - The food or "soil" for the mushroom
Innoculate - Put the spores on a substrate
Mycelium - The white fungus that takes over the substrate and soon fruits once it sees light.
Cake - A substrate in a cube or some small shape to produce shrooms.
Casing - The mycelium broken up and put into a pan or bucket (basically its like substrate once its been fully colonized)
* there are a massive number of terms for other catagories within the mushroom kingdom, like pyslocibin, cap, or stalk....but its really all within the Mushroom FAQ thats on the text part of this site....you should have no problem finding them.
I don't know if there are any other terms that may be too difficult for you to understand. Make flash cards LOL
BTW I'm new to this too, but all you have to do really is print out some teks and youll be fine with understanding the whole process.

Oh yea and BTW, dont tell your friends that your gonna make this shit! Your gonna run into lots of people saying "Can I have some" or "Can I buy some" ... not only is it annoying, but its risky. I wouldn't recommend you telling many people. Word gets out quick about growers. Best to keep it on the down low.

My furbie is new to this too but he said he found a great glossary which is listed below: Click HERE for the glossary
I can say for sure if it will work or not as it's info my furbie told be but ti's probably worth a try.

Ok junior, listen up... here is the terminology that you seek -
ok, there are 3 level's, these are:
Square - Hip - & Cool
1. Square
Square is a person who is not 'cool' or 'hip', not "hip" with "what's going on".
2. Hip
Once you are 'aware' of "what's happening" you automaticly move on to be "hip",
3. Cool
Cool is what you become once you have established a reputable relationship with your peers... you advance the highest level of 'cool' .
