Lessons from the idiot savant.

A few things I've learned in the past few weeks of laziness in innoculating:

1. BRF + Verm... Mix @ 2/3 cup verm, 1/4 cup BRF... Don't P/C or boil them... Let them sit for a week or so... you will find AMAZING growth... fully colonized in about 8 days... I did... only thing was, I didn't innoculate them... *Contents pitched, jars steralized clean, washed twice*

2. Birdseed. I use about between 2 and 4 thirds of a cup of birdseed per quart jar... Put in tupperware container, let sit overnight... Sift excess water through... rinse excess material off (Through strainer / jelly bags)... drain for half an hour.. put into your quart jars... wait until P/C is finished being used, and cooled, and emptied... and forget about the jars for 2-3 days... you will now have EXCELLENT spawn if you plan on growing birdseed: All grew roots. *Lesson: BOIL, DO IT ALL IN ONE DAY OR ASAP!!!!*

3. Nudity. I dunno... it's just not a good idea... especially when dealing with hot boiling liquids..

LOL, i had the birdseed sprout on me too! It was only the last 4 quart jars i was saving to pc the next day, but they were near my blacklight and the taproots were glowing yellow.
