Would mixing of mycelium work?

I have several stalled jars from my first attempts. One is EQ,one B+ and one is ..I can't remember. Could I take the myc that is in the jars now and mix them into one casing? Or would I be better off doing three small casings with what I have. The jars were knocked up on July 16th but, just looking at what I can see on the outside,I'd say only about a 1/4 of each jar is colonized. The temp is a pretty constant 80 degrees. This was my first attempt and my mixing and sterilization was probably left a bit wanting(I have a PC now).

I would do small casings seeing how the dif. strains wouldn't compete. If you put them in the same one, u should give each it's own erea.

Both sound like good advice. I have a casing tray that would be able to handle all three in separate areas. But what would be put in the "void" between them, just extra casing?

do not mix the strains together!~
they will compete against each other...
and you won't know which strain you have...
when they fruit.

void between them, the myc will more than likely jump any small gap between the two cases. you should try to use different trays/tubs for each strain. they are going on a month old and only 25% colonized, huh! do they seem dry/wet at all? what was the mix that you used to put in the jars (substrate)? peace

ahhhh, that might be the problem right there. can't think of anyway besides shooting maybe ten cc's of sterile water into them. shake them up a bit and then let them finish colonizing. you'll have much better luck with fully colonized substrate then partially so it doesn't become attractive to contams.
good luck peace
