Look what I did....

This is the original image:
I'm about 90% pleased with it. It didn't scab at all, just a little flaky. The only thing is that I think it looks kind of masculine, and that might have been in hindsight because the artist was male. He told me if I have any problems, come on back after it's all healed up and he'll touch it up for me.
I think it's all in the shoulders....which co-incidentally is the males center of gravity.

i think it loooks really good, personally i would have gotten more of a frilly design (if i were a girl that is) i think the lines are part of what ur thinking of masculine, very strong lines... but just so you know it looks great no matter what they put on there

Her tattoo is a female form, and she thinks its shoulders ended up too masculine, because shoulders are the center of gravity for males and her tat artist was a male and therefore made feminine shoulders masculine.

ah I see. I don't know if I would relate it to the artist being a male. He was just following the design pattern in which the lines ended up being bolder than the original. But anyway, looks nice Bom.

No. I wouldn't worry about that!
A tattoo on the small of your back is extremely feminine.

I DESPISE tattoos. My gf has a bunch of them, and I HATE all of them.
My sis was 18 when she did it too, but hers is so tiny and discrete that I doubt she'll really regret it.
I was more into piercing.

Same here, man. A woman's skin is already beautiful, I hate it when they ink it all up
Tattoos on the small of the back can be sexy but I prefer a girl with the skin she was born with.

I don't understand how a girl can be so callously labelled as a 'slut' because she's got a tattoo. That's the stupidest shit I have ever heard.
I love my tattoos, they are a part of me.

I've heard worse than that but I'm pretty sure it applies only to the stamps themselves; a stamp tattoo, no effort involved for the artist or the tattoo-ee. I see most of those clone images being sported on the backs of young women the same as I see a tattoo of, say, a barcode, or a nike swoosh. lame and unoriginal.
Q: Is there such a thing as a tasteful tattoo? I've been thinking of getting one but I know it'll snowball into a body suit....

its a few things to me CB
the needle on the skin..
the anticipation of an artists vision becoming one with you
most of all I love the art, we are canvasses not only of the physical but mentally and spiritually, its nice to be able to 'create' that which brings you closer to your vision of a masterpiece

Interesting. I guess I can understand that a little bit better.
I have a lot of respect for anyone who can say, "I want this to be a permanent part of me" A sleeve is a really bold move, and I guess that's kind of pretty cool.
We ARE canvasses. The way we wear clothes, cut our hair, get peirced or tattooed. You're the artist, choose your medium.

I used to paint on skin with acrylic. It's so fun to do. Skin makes a wonderful canvas for paint.
