How to hunt in Ohio.
    #4512427 - 08/08/05 10:19 PM (18 years, 6 months ago)

I've don'e my fair share this summer, and a few things have become very apparent. This is all becoming quite clear after a hunt last saturday. after about an hour in a small industrial park near my house i found 150 pann subbs. well actually 2 of them turned out foes but whose counting. if you want to hunt in ohio there are a few things you should do:
Wait till the morning after a rainfall, anything else well be too dry.
check places with healthy grass, cut weekly, and watered daily with sprinkler systems. horse firlds, IME don't do shit. i've found BIG healthy panns there but not reliable enough.
it's so dry up here go before 3 or 4 so they don't get so dried out you can't see them.

these just work in my experience and i hope they help you. i think a lot of people are chekcing horse fields when they really have a better chance at their local mall or big business HQ.

oh and here are the pix from my hunt. not bad for an hour's walking(2.5g dried):

That's a great find, used to find em all the time up north in our great state, but lately not enough rain up by the lake for me to go hunt. keep up the good work!!

yeah it's terribly dry. but if the finds after that rainy week last month are any indicator, ohio will have a very 'fruit'ful fall. keep hunting!

I cant wait till we get another time like that week...man...thinking back on it you and I really wasted an AWESOME time to get shit that week :P.

This info is pretty accurate as to how I hunt too, btw...which isnt suprising since we hunt together at times.

thanks, this was only 1 person for 1 hour in 1 part of the industrial park.  if you swept it clean with about 3-4 people, i'd say you'd get about 1000 subbs.  that's only 150.

I'd definetly have to agree. I never bothered checking lawns before, due to many people saying your chances of finding subbs were zilch. But one day I noticed a mass amount of them in my works front lawn. Too many to pick. I picked 3 ounces dry and that wasn't evcen half.

Though there were a ton of foes ( like I can see in your pic as well) so they were about half as potent.

thanks, glad you like it. yeah vandango glad you had some luck, keep at it. and actually 148 of those 150 in the pick printed out subbs. lawn variety subbs look a lot more like foes than you'd think. hope you ohio hunters find this useful!

Yes they contain psilocybin / psilocin. If you want to go hunting make sure to read throuh the hunting FAQs around here and stuff, as they help a bunch.

As for them containing a decent amount, I would say no. They contain enough to make you trip, but compared to cubes and other mushrooms they arent as potent. This doesnt mean you cant have a strong trip on them, you just need to take more. If you are hunting in Ohio, though, they are what you look for pretty much!

Thanks for sharing AsianYumYum   The few times I went out hunting last year, I had a very difficult time finding any pan subbs.  Too bad I just wasted last week's rain (it was sporadic here), but there is still the rest of summer and fall.

Good luck on your future hunts, man!
