okay. ive read all these teks on birdseed and it seems really simple to use. id really rather use vermiculite with brown rice flour but am having trouble finding vermiculite at local stores.

so i guess what im asking is your opinions on which one would be better to use. thanks!

Grain spawn is used by commercial cultivators.

That should tell you something.

Yup, you need a PC to do wbs/grains.

Without a PC, PF style cakes is about all you can do.

You can do a long grain tek of some sort. This is where you use the rice as a whole grain, rather than grinding it up. No vermiculite is needed. I'll try to find you a good technique to use.

the PC is no problem.. we have over 4 of them in this house. no clue why. but we do.

then go with the grains, you will get much better results over the brf cakes.

Soak WBS 18 to 24 hours, rinse, drain & jar up - as below:

#5 jar is after 90 minute PC @ 15 psi.
