Has anyone else experienced extremely extremely slow colonization? im talking 6-9 weeks for about 200 ml (dry) rye innoculated by agar wedge or by adding already colonized rye?
thanks and peace,

BTW the 200ml rye (dry) means it was about 200 ml rye dry, then it was soaked for 24 hours and then PCed.
I had contams in two jars, the rest seem pretty clean. no foul smell when the jars are shaken. I guess I will drop some more spores on some agar for my cat and see if the second batch go faster. Also I guess I will make a syringe for my cat to use in 6 1/2 pints of Rye flour and Verm and 6 1/2 pints of BR Flour and Verm and let you guys know how my cat does with it.
I guess I need to also create some BRF Agar plates, as the plates I currently use are Rye flour plates, being that I use rye as the final media. Also anyone know any places in NYC (guess where I am and my cat is?) that sell coir? I'm not aagianst ordering it online for my cat, but shipping cost blow.....
Um how do people rate the Amazons anyways?
peace,

Sounds like either a moisture problem or a bacterial problem.
The Amazonian(PF) or PESA?
I only get aborts with the former and the latter is slower than average, but fruits nice.
This was experienced with casings, not cakes!!!!

Amazonian PES grows like crazy on rye, especially in an incubator at 80-86*F. If your jars are slow to grow then there's something wrong you know. It's a nice strain. Grows nice in hot temps too. If you innoculate at least 1cc of decent spore water you should see growth in under three days. It's real fuzzy at first but then starts to become Rhizomorphic. Shake your jars as soon as you see growth to distribute the mycelium. Fuck Brown Rice FLour! Finch seed or Rye/Millet is the way to go. Soak, rinse, P.Cook, inoculate. There ya go.
Purrrr,
