greed = desire = suffering = the universe
It's fairly innate...I'm working on eliminating as much as possible of it from my life
Skunk, yeah man what did happen to the radio? I haven't seen it around in a while...maybe they just ran out of programming?

You know those inspirational songs, where the chorus always like, takes off. it goes from a slow whateverness, to like mmmMMMMM!!! and you feel like "oh shit that's awesome! LIKE FUCK YEA" and you want to just scream.
I feel like that, but likt 10000 times better.

False. greed is a product of carbon based creatures. In the ultimate reality there is no suffering, there is only oneness.

Very true...I should have replaced "the universe" with "the ego"

It ensures survival. If they didn't feel greed, they wouldn't create food stashes and whatnot. It's needed, but not in the monetary way. Only the most vital things are necessary to be kept and constantly added to.

yes, I agree. Its just the path we evolved down. But will the ego destroy us? Is it possible to keep advancing at this pace and still exist 1000 years from now? 100years from now?

Yes the ego is definitely needed; especially in todays society. If we all felt the feeling you get on an ego-loss trip we wouldn't strive to succeed in society. We would be lost.
Personaly I think a good ego-death trip is beneficial once in a while for learning purposes. If we lived an egoless life we wouldnt progress.

I'm not even talking about humans. Carbon based life. Think about squirrels. They keep caches of nuts during the winter. That's a form of greed.
