Don't forget to chalk up some good karma and support the free spore rings:

FSR Europe
FSR Canada

Some of you guys might have received prints from these organizations, remember to pay it forward . Support the community!

Take care

(I have nothing to do with either of these sites, I was just reminded of FSRC today and decided to spread the word)

Free Spore Rings really rock. I used to send 5-10 from each flush up to Canada. I think that these sites will become invaluable repositories of spores after they are banned. I really think that each grower should be keeping lots of good spore prints from various strains. Then, we can at least continue to keep these specimens alive after the government bans their possession and distribution.

What is the reason for no FSR in the USA, because they are illegal in ID, CA, GA?

is a glovebox required for making sterile prints? I know you stick em under a glass when they drop the spores, but, after the print is done will it be sterile if i just seal it up in open air?

When your prints are made to the degree that your syringes never give you contaminated jars, you got it right. I wouldn't send prints to a FSR unless you were pretty damn good at making them, would suck for someones freebie to be a green meanie.

Ralphster shut down the FSR that was in the USA...think it got to be too much for him with his business too.
He started the Free Spore Ring idea.

Some newbie tried to run one once...and I think he ran off with the prints.

pcubmycol was talking about opening a new FRS in the USA.
I'd like to see him do it.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the kinds words. They mean alot.

There have actually been 4 FSR's in the US.

Ralphs original FSR, closed for personal and business conflicts
Teonan's FSRA, closed for personal reasons and lack of support.
ChromeCrows FSRA, closed because of health reasons.
KrasHnBurnZ's FSRNW, closed from lack of support.

The most difficult thing keeping an FSR going is lack of support and donations.
I know if it wasn't for a few VERY generous donators, the FSRC would have closed too.

It's also a lot of work, but I think it's worth it  and I'm sure Eric at the FSRE thinks so too.
The FSRC and FSRE are now in our 4th years of operation.
The real hero's here are the people who support the FSR's  You Guys

Thanks Everyone!
Shdwstr
