My Post Office Adventure

I never thought a simple trip to the post office could be so...weird...
Well anyways, after bumping into a girl that had recently stood-me up, I went to the counter to buy a few stamps. I tried to make conversation and be friendly with the guy there, so I remarked "You look like it's been a long day...?" Here is the ensuing conversation:
Him: "What does that mean?" Me: "You just look a little tired is all" Him: "Do you want me to look tired?" Me: confused silence Him: "We are trading here..." Me: chuckle nervously Him: (looking at zipcode), "Hm, let's make this legible here...", darkens a clearly legible 7 Me: "Hehe, thanks..." Him: "He might push this to Alaska..." Me: (completely confused) "Yeah...a friend of mine just got back from Alaska...said it was pretty cold..." chuckles Him: silence Him: "[Price] please" Me: Hands him money Him to another employee: "I think I might hit somebody wearing a Pink Floyd shirt on the way home from work today..." Me: (realizing I'M wearing a Pink Floyd shirt) "Are you trying to hint at something?" (jokingly) Him: slowly turns head and glares at me "I was talking to my friend here" Me: "Oh..." Him: continuing: "270 horses was the force that the mosquito hit my windshield this morning" Me: Totally bewildered and slightly worried..."Do you like my shirt?" Him: "No." Me: "Oh...do you like Pink Floyd?" Him: "Yes." Me: "Oh so you like Pink Floyd but not the shirt?" Him: "Yes. Have you ever listened to The Wall?" Me: "Yes." Him: "All the way through?" Me: "Oh, nope, can't say I have." Him: A knowing look in his eyes..."Oh" Me: as I'm leaving "take it easy man"
That was hands-down the weirdest conversation I have EVER had with a postal employee. I don't know WHAT he was going on about...darkening the 7, muttering about Alaska, commenting about my shirt...
I hope everything arrives where it's supposed to!

Crazy people like that are the best to run into. It's best just to go with whatever he's saying. You handled the situation pretty well.
