I was wondering what is the lowest dose of mushrooms you have taken (if applicable) to achieve ego loss?

I dont think that there is a magic number and I am also sure that it depends on said mushrooms as well. Your mind set can play a huge role in achieving ego loss and not to mention your setting. I have heard that complete darkness, no sounds, no distractions is best for reaching such a level.

i don't know, i've never reached level 5 on shrooms before and my 2 highest doses were 5 and 6.5 grams.

I think a number of people hit there at what they call sometimes a "heroic dose", 5 grams. I hit level 5 there, and not before, and I hit it a few times after with higher dosages. I'm sure someone could do it at around an 1/8th or so, if they had a low tolerance to the chemical. Less if they took a species other then cubensis to get them there. 1.5 grams pan cyans got me to a good solid level 4.

mushrooms have never gotten me anywhere near level 5, but an experienced friend of mine has said that 30-50g fresh cubensis in darkness and silence is enough.
the importance of mindset cannot be stressed enough when dealing with level 5. without the right mindset you will either peak at level 4 or have a hellish trip of fighting your own death.

My first time was with nine dried grams. 
I have also achieved the same with an eighth.

4.325 grams powdered and mixed with a water bottle of OJ then chugged. Trip lasted about 4.5 hours and hallucinations started 5 minutes after ingestion. Basically, it was an 8 hour trip shrunk into 4.5 hours and hence much more intense.

As you can see it varies allot from person to person. Last weekend I ate 10grms of Creeper that were capsulized. I may of reached a level 4 but i would say that My best 5 as you all say come from 13grms pf PB

in special cases people can meditate under 2-3 g and get ego loss
