What hypocrisy. So criminalizing the sale of the substance is a way to allow science to further study it? If science has not yet proven salvia divinorum to be a drug which facilitates compulsion drug abuse, then why should "localities" protect its citizens from it? I am very disturbed that this guy could limit my freedom to make decisions for myself. He mentions his children as a reason for wanting to ban Salvia, well I am not his child, and I resent someone determining what they feel is best for me.

I feel the Shroomery should work to prevent this type of thing. Anyone have any ideas? Who should we write to? The idea of losing access to salvia is really sad.

BTW, is there a way to track the progress of this? I've known about it for a little while, but it's hard to keep tabs on.

I still want to do what I can to prevent it's passage in the State Assembly. Problem being, that even drawing any attention to the issue is likely to cause a negative response. Politicians tend to be rather ignorant on what salvia is, and the idea that it "produces effects akin to LSD" is enough to scare off most. Bah.

I've tried the marketplace, but couldn't find anyone to trade with. Don't really have the money for a vendor at the moment, and many have stopped selling cuttings.
