"its good to be..." "the fabulous life of..."
    #4514080 - 08/09/05 01:14 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

i fucking hate those 2 shows. you know "the fabulous life of (insert celeb name)" and "its good to be". like anyone wants to see how spoiled and shitty celebrities are. those people live in such excess its disgusting. $30,000 purses, $10,000 jeans, thousand $ dog clothing. its gross that people in this world/ country are starving and these fucking tools have to spend $400,000 on a necklace. shows like that affirm my allegience to the democratic party. look, i understand the successful people deserve nice houses, cars, tvs, etc... but $30,000 on a fucking purse?? that shouldnt even exist as long as people suffer. :frown:

Believe me, I know how exactly how you feel.

But, I try not to dwell on it too much, seeing as how there is nothing I can really do.

Thats also why I don't watch Mtv, VH1, or many other channels. Its just nothing but total materialistic crap on there.

I think it's better that they waste money and insert it back into the economy where other people will have the option of donating to a charity. If they saved it... noone would see the cash again... it would sit in the bank where the bank would loan out 10 times that amount to corporations

I just think it's funny that people get angrier when rich people blow money and not when they save money...

you know what fuck it this post is taking way too long and i'm startin to get confused...

I get mad when people spend my money otherwise it's none of my fucking business which is exactly why these two shows should not be on TV...

Same with "Cribs". "hey hardworking American, see how this ignorant fool has a trillion dollar house because he can throw a ball or 'sing'?" Fuck that.

to cowgold: it would be even better if they donated their money, rather than blowing it on expensive bullshit. But that hardly ever happens, so good point.

You make it seem like there are only two options: 1) Spend money on ridiculous items 2) Put money in bank. How about the Bill Gates option: Set up foundations and donate 37% (and plan to give 50+% in the near future) to charity?

When they start making television shows about how ridiculously you spend money, I think that's the benchmark of when you should start spending it differently.

I was only making the point that it helps noone to save it...

but most people have a bigger problem with them spending it... however ridiculously simply because they could do better with it...

Where's your blindspot?

I'm assuming your were referring to this... "where's your blind spot?"

explanation right here...

people mad because other people spend money on things they want however ridiculous it may be. While how much more beneficial blowing money is than saving it is, remains in peoples blind spot. They just don't see it.
We all have blind spots... Where's yours?
