The Books. I'd never heard of them, but I'd say they're equal to or better than Aphex Twin.

wow overnight this thread really exploded :cool:

I'm going to read it, but first I'm going to make some coffee :thumbup:

now there are some good recommendations here; now I start to hear what electro is about. Not really my thing I must admit but it's interesting to listen to some new styles now and then so I'm still going to listen some more :cool:

oh some of this electro reminds me of (old) Daftpunk, is that also electro?

nu-electro and all that electroclash sucks - reminds me of all the pretentious, self-conscious fags out in hollywood who wanted to bring back the 80s. give me some dmx krew instead.

Electroclash appealled to me a lot when I was abusing coke. And then, when I quit, I lost interest in it.

I still like some of it, though.

electro is like old 80s hip-hoppy type music. You probably mean electronica.

I'd recommend these albums if you're just getting into it:

Dig Your Own Hole by Chemical Brothers
The Fat of the Land by Prodigy
Brown by Orbital
You've Come a Long Way Baby by Fatboy Slim

These albums are the basics, don't listen to anything else until you've given these a thorough listen
