the coir i have (Eco-earth) tests out at 5.5-6.0 Ph.
so i have been adding peat moss. but, i'm thinking, maybe i'll soak some in deluded coffee, and give that a try

i might fiddle with the ph a bit for my verm/coir casing. i know its somewhat necessary to do to a peat/verm casing. was just wondering if anyone has tried it or found the need to do so. trying to cut back on my supply cabinet. lot of stuff in there as is, dont want to buy stuff i dont really need ya know.

Might be totally off with this, but coffee grounds seem to literally suck contams out of the air. If it's because of the acidity, then amending coir with coffee might work great. If it's more than just the acidity, like some other chemical property or constituent, it might be asking for trouble. Maybe I'm just being silly, though. But maybe it warrants some experimentation before sacrification.
