like i said earlier these have a black spore print, and do not bruise blue. they ranged from babies to about 70 mm tall. the caps of the more mature ones reach about 40mm in diameter. the stems are hollow and fibrous and skinny, about 4mm thick. they were found in sacramento california at a manure mulched garden. they were underneath some corn and squash. the gills are attatched. there was an easy to see ring around the caps when they were fresh, and is still visible after drying. the more mature ones showed a nipple at the top, but not consistantly. they also grew very close to eachother. the smell reminds me of cubensis. whaddya think?

Looks like a possible Pannaeolus Subbalteatus. But I am not given the power to positively ID, in this Forum. And for a good reason. But there are several people here who would appreciate your decent description and picture, and might even be able to give you a positive ID on that. Good job.

Man, it looks like a big mess o' mushrooms to me. What I can see does look like subbs, 'cep for that one in the center, that little one with the light gills. It may be that it's just the angle. If you really wanna know if you have subbs or not, you gotta sort them out. LBMs are not easily discernable. Subbs require special attention to certain details.
Are you sure you have a black print?
