    #4507908 - 08/07/05 08:18 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

I just went to menards and got perlite/soil for the shrooms. Except they only had soil with plant food added....In my version of the guide it says you cant use that kind. Will it still be ok? can I bake it to get rid of the chems.? I already bought it...

Yeah I'd go with this advice too.  Mushrooms aren't plants.  They need different things to grow and if you want success I'd take the advice.

however there was just a post about using fertilizer on cakes. it needs to be researched and tested though. i would not recomend it if you are trying for tried and true results
