This guy I barely know said five days ago he innoculated 4 jars with a very very dark syringe. At least one of the jars received a large, visible clump of spores, big enough to momentarily clog the syringe. Today he checked them and the jars were apx 15% colonized. In the middle of the mycellium of one jar there are a few black spots pressed up to the glass. Since he's a dumb-ass, he didn't know if it was the same jar that received the clump.
He's 90% sure the spots are spore clusters, but what are the chances he's wrong?
If it's contam, will it grow?
What should he do?
