yoyo, Better pic would be nice but also a thorough description of the cap, stem, gills, spore print color, habitat and growth pattern are necessary for a positive ID. With a little effort and a field guide of your own you just might be able to get it down to at least a Genus.

Usually mushrooms that show blueing do so with normal handling. You could always squeeze part of the stem and wait a while to see bruising. More importantly though it seems you need to do some good studying. All this info is available to you in a good field guide.

yoyo, you might have a Panaeolus cyanscen or two there, but judging from that pic and description, I wouldn't tell you to eat anything :whistling:

Right okey i took some more pictures but the quality is really poor so ill give a little description of them,,,,

This one is one of the smaller ones with a dome shaped cap like a pale yellow / white

This one has a much straighter dome with an inward nipple around the same colour as the first picture

this is one of the biggest ones and its much darker in colour than the rest of them almost black / dark blueish

This is a slightly darker colour than the first picture almost tanned , the cap is smoth but bumb and uneven with a slight nipple,

This is a darker one again with a more droopy cap a sort of greyish shade..

this is the biggest one of the lot and the only one thats white im pretty sure this is a bad one , the cap is almost flakey with a tanned colour at the top..

all of these shrooms were picked in cow feilds they were normally in groups with some shrooms more developed than the rest

sorry again for the quality of the pics

Yoyo, those pics just aren't workin. Again it's obvious to me you need to learn a lot more about mushroom identification. Get yourself a good field guide like Mushroom's Demystified by David Arora and another guide that focuses on Psilocybin mushrooms if that's what your looking for.

To identify mushrooms properly you really need to have a good guide. For psilocybian mushrooms try http://www.mushroomjohn.com/
mushroom john has a good guide for actives but you need general information about mushrooms, their life cycle, terminology and identification. Mushroom hunting isn't something to be taken lightly. Maybee check out your local library.

Pick up some 2nd hand books on mushrooms for a couple of bucks. 's always better than nothing.

You can't reliably id mushrooms on basis of macroscopic similarities with known species.

Everywhere. Use Google. Read through the sticky notes in the hunting section of this forum. Go out with the knowledge and books you can get hold of and try to ID everything you find. There's no way of learning to properly ID mushrooms just by reading or browsing the net. You'll actually have to go out and do it yourself.

II. Accurate mushroom descriptions

It is critical that you describe mushrooms fully and accurately in order to get a proper identification.

A good picture of the mushrooms is invaluable, but not required.
Along with the pictures YOU ARE REQUIRED to provide the following data:

* Habitat (where [woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude] and what [soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?)] does it grow on)
* Characteristics of the gills (color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc)
* Characteristics of the stem (length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc)
* Characteristics of the cap (diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc)
* Spore print color (very important!)
* Color that the mushroom bruises
* Scent of the mushroom
* Anything else you might find important

6. Do NOT ask for an id on any mushroom[s] you may find until you have read and satisfied the required information in part II of this post to the best of your ability.
if you do so repeatedly, your offending post[s] will be thrown out until you can start following the rules.

"A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly fifteen hundred pounds of marijuana within about 15 minutes to induce a lethal response... In strict medical terms, marijuana is far safer than many of the foods we commonly consume. For example, eating ten raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death."

Thank you DH, I was just comming to do that. See, yoyo, we are trying to help you, but if somebody just told you what they thought they were, you'd end up eating something like what I think that last picture shows, which isn't good :argh:
I'm not sayin one way or another, those pics just aren't good enough for a positive id.

peace
