Becoming a couch
    #4490414 - 08/03/05 02:54 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

I was just wondering if anybody else here has been privileged enough to experience what its like to be a couch or other inanimate object. I smoked an almighty amount of salvia the other day, I was standing when I took the hit but I couldnt stay up seeing as my legs turned into jelly and as I was melting into the salvia world I noticed myself merging with the couch and before I knew I was the couch. Its a really interesting experience being part of an inanimate (its pretty clear when on these substances that there is no such thing as an inanimate object though) object, it was my first and hopefully not my last experience blending with an object.

Yep..couch on a high amount...it wasnt to fun. It certainly didnt stop me from buying a bunch more salvia though and continuing its use and figuring out exactly what its all about.

My roommate was a wall once...

Merging with inanimate objects is quite common with salvia. My first time I became part of a bench. On other occasions, I became part of my bed, a flowerpot, etc...

Got a question about a substance?  Erowid might already have your answer! Have questions about the  mushroom experience? The  Tripper's FAQ may have your answer or someone else might have had your question before.

I have become any inaminate object that is to the left of me after smoking it: my dresser, my desk. When there is no object next to me, I become something like a ghost beside myself.

Gotta love it.

The only time I have ever become something was the one time I messed with DXM. I became a blob of lava inside my lavalamp. I merged with other blobs, split into smaller blobs. Then, I became my pet fish and realized it was way past time to clean the tank. I have not been able to have an aquarium since. Nor will I waste my time with that substance again. Ineresting, though.

I've been an orange, a chair, a wall... stuck halfway through a wall... salvia is definitely one of the weirdest things there is.

Yeah, it's a weird drug alright. And it's not that you (or me) simply SEE a house penetrating your head, you FEEL it penetrating your head. It can be unnerving because it's actually happening to you.

So strange. My wife became a couch last night. Our futon actually. She said that it was very weird though (does seem to be!), that she actually felt like a couch that was in her family room when she was little but she had to settle for the futon because it was the only couch available. Also, no other furniture affected her in this way but once she got to the futon she began sinking into it (She was originally sitting on a chair). She said it was the most relaxed feeling she's ever had. I have read all these turning into inanimate object posts but it has yet to work for me. I get pretty good and screwed up but I just keep getting involved in forcefields, getting pulled to one side of the room, seeing seams in reality & having my skin turn into velcro, so much so that when I move my skin feels jagged from trying to remove myself from my place in space, like I'm totally frozen to this one specific place in time & moving is not advised. Weird shit.
