In HIGH TIMES MAGAZINE
A GROW kit that contains everything you need--------->
INCLUDING CUBENSIS SPORES
(read between the lines - under both State & Federal law) "Conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance"
ughhhh ..... CUBENSIS SPORES not for microscopy use
Self contained kit with Cubensis spores ready to GROW CUBENSIS WITH.
Ya right.......... I wonder which astute attorney at law gave them a legal opinion on the LEGALITY of this

^^ the company was kowanite i believe. Or at least thats what the name of the compost was. Weird that homestead would do something like this esp after PF was busted and shut down.

Yeah, these guys have been around a long time. I ordered my very first spore print from them years ago. You would think that they would be a little smarter about how they do business.

that is exactly the stuff mj was talkin about. the company that makes the kowanite is selling to Homestead. steer as far away from that as possible, atleast that is what i am going to do. i was looking at maybe getting a little just to try but i don't think so now. cause what is the chances that they are not watching what that compost company sends out as well? peace

LOL.... for that $120 bucks, given what the kit would/might yeild, you could just buy - that amount of dry cubes - off the street corner - for about the same price, without even f**king with the kit.
Plus, you would not have to wait for the kit to fruit out (if it did - without contaminating).
But, they must be selling like hot cakes - as a full page ad in high times doesn't come CHEAP.

Bust waiting to happen no doubt. unless the DEA has their finger in this. last time i heard, promoting manufacture was illegal.

LOL, this is a little more than "promoting", it is DIRECT COMPLICITY, by offering & providing all the ingredients for a fee.
I would bet, since it goes through the mail, a few other charges could be tacked on, to boot.
PF was from Seattle WA, & so is Homestead. Maybe the rain up there - rusted their thought process.
I would also wager, since High Times publishes the AD, they could also get dragged into a legal quagmire - regardless - of any disclaimer they may have with those who pay for advertisement in that publication.
Oh well, stupid is - as stupid does.

Those are probably some of the reasons that they can get away with it; it's pretty much for personal use, it costs more to buy the kit than to just buy that amount of mushrooms, there is no easy way with this kit to make it keep producing. These are basically one shot deals. At that price most kids can't afford it and it doesn't encourage people to buy them to make money, cuz they won't. It's probably illegal, but is it worth prosecuting? i would say obviously not as they have been selling mushroom kits for the last 20 years. I bought my first kit at the end of the 80s from homestead and it came with spores. The only thing that's really changed with the kit is it's easier, but it is most certainly also cost prohibitive.

Don't miss the obvious. Sometimes the DEA busts a company, then takes over their website. It could be a sting op to get people to order from them. As said above, steer clear. RR

Actually, this could be perfectly legal... but only if the spores were killed before shipping...
of course the kit wouldn't work, but since High Times has no vendor feedback system, all homestead would have to do is convince all their customers that they did something wrong during the process... anyone still not satisfied would get a refund, which wouldn't matter to homestaed at all since the nonrefundable shipping portion would probably cover the entire manufacturing cost of the kit, and only a small percentage of customers would demand a refund...

stupidity like this could prompt the outlaw of spores themselves. I mean why not, if the wrong people see this they might just go that route, certainly wouldn't be too hard. who's gonna argue our side. and that would suck cause i am not totally self-sufficient yet, and there's lots of strains i have yet to acquire.
