welcome.

you're not going to get any sort of a realiable id without some description.

please read the sticky about rules and quidelines at the top of the thread.

Quick quess would be Marasmius oreades (not magical unless your wiccan perhaps) but do not, repeat do not take this as an ID. It is not. More information is absolutely necessary.

read the sticky.

thanks

That's what I was initially thinking as well from a glance.

The spore print (take a cap and place it gills down, half on white paper/half on black, and place a glass over it) should come out a whitish color.

Also, when you say in clusters, were they growing in a circular ring-like fashion?

oh and ditto mikonn, read the sticky of rules at the top of the hunting forum, it outlines proper identification techniques and etiquette.

Although i can't be positive without a spore print, location, and a good description, i'd have to say those are marasmius oreades, they grow in my lawn too... in large patches- usualy giant rings. If they are marasmius oreades then they're edible(not the greatest in the world, but fry up the caps and put em' on a burger and they're not bad, discard the stems), but not hallicongenic. go here and check their description to see how well it matches up. Their strain is from californa so it looks slightly differnt but if you do a google image search you're going to find a bucn hfo pictures that look exactly like what you have up there. http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Marasmius_oreades.html
oh, and one last thing, by the looks of it those ones have dried in the sun for a few days and aren't the best to base your identifaction off of. If they are m. oreades then they should sprout with a day or two of rain - they grow incredibly quickly and you can occasionally see them double in size from morning to night. If they don't grow to full size within two days of a rain, i'd say they aren't m. oreades.
