One time, at a friend's house, I dropped half a tab of acid on the floor outside in the semi dark. By the time we went inside and got a flashlight and came back outside to look for it, it was gone. It was not on grass or anything, smooth stone patio. Maybe it magically disappeared, but the dog was playing outside with us... It's possible this same dog ingested LSD on another occasion also, 1/4 tab that time. Studies have shown that for some reason the less body mass an animal has, the less sensitive to LSD it is. I was with the dog for hours on both occasions, and it seemed nothing but it's usual happy self, if not more so.
I have gotten my dog high on several occasions, mostly by keeping her in a enclosed area with me or blowing a little smoke on her face. She definately loved it. Walking around in circles wagging her tail, being even more affectionate towards me than usual(and this is the most affectionate dog I have ever seen), etc. One time after she got high a few times, I let her smell a little baggie of weed, and she tried to eat it out of my hand!
Dosing a pet with a strong psychedelic though, I don't about this. Spiders have been shown to spin absolutely perfect webs on LSD, while not on LSD the webs were not as good. In small animals that were dosed with LSD, the only visible effect was hyperactivity AFAIK. You don't love a lab animal like you love your pet though, be careful...
